Scott Cook is a Markham-based lawyer, specializing in real estate, both residential and commercial. After graduating from Queen's University with a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Physical and Health Education and a Bachelor of Education Scott had a successful career as a high school teacher for the Toronto District School Board.
Scott then decided to pursue law, graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, was called to Bar in 1997 and promptly opened his own practice in Markham.
After more than two decades, Scott has become a trusted adviser and friend to his client base of individuals and families who continue to return to him for all their legal needs.

Ila is an Associate Lawyer at Cook Law Professional Corporation, with a focus on Real Estate Law, Family Law, Wills and Estates.
Ila was called to the bar in 2021 after obtaining her dual JD from the University of Windsor Ontario and the University of Detroit Mercy Law. Prior to joining the Cook Law team as a Real Estate Associate, Ila practiced Family Law, bringing forth a pragmatic and sensible approach to the practice of law. Ila’s understanding of the intersection of Family and Real Estate Law allows for a more integrated strategy for clients, thoroughly addressing client needs comprehensively.

DARIA CHYC

Daria Chyc was called to the bar in 2017 after obtaining her law degree from the University of Toronto. Daria worked at a boutique Employment Law Firm in Toronto before joining Cook Law as a Litigation Associate.
Daria has over 7 years of experience representing clients in a variety of employment-related matters, including wrongful dismissal claims, just-cause terminations, workplace discrimination and harassment claims, reprisals, among others. Daria has appeared before various levels of courts as an advocate including Superior Court, Small Claims Court, the Human Rights Tribunal and the Labour Board. Daria has successfully argued several trials and applications during her career.
In addition to Employment Law, Daria has experience representing clients in a variety of civil litigation matters including Real Estate, Construction Law and Contract Disputes.
